Summary: This album is the strongest release yet from Little Steven Van Zandt’s Underground Garage empire. A Brit band, the Stabilisers deliver garage-punk with sticky hooks and a hefty dose of frattitude (“Born To Kiss Arse”). Though it runs out of steam towards the end (the disc is frontloaded with the band’s best work), there are more than a few good tunes here for anyone with retro-punk proclivities. No, it’s not a great record, but “good” is as great as it gets these days. ––Mark Nardone
